Will the Nokia N80 be cheaper in Singapore and Malaysia than the Philippines?I am from the Philippines and I am planning to take a weekend trip to Singapore and Malaysia. I want to buy a new Nokia N80. Will it be cheaper in Singapore or Malaysia or am I better off just buying it in the Philippines?
Nokia N80 can run on both GSM network and 3G network. Cingular uses GSM so N80 works with Cingular (I have N80 myself).
The Media Net you are talking about actually refers to GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), and it refers to the mobile data service. N80 supports it, but your basic Cingular plan will most likely NOT cover GPRS usage. I know there is a $20 monthly MediaNet plan that allows you to have unlimited GPRS usage.

Almost any TTL speedlight would do, from the SB-15 on up.
SB-15, 24 and 27 are all quite cheap used.
The SB-400 mentioned earlier is useless on any film body except the F6.
When I went to Singapore I saw a lot of gadgets there. Plenty of bargain items too. There are a few things you should know. How much is the Nokia N80 in the Philippines? Around 20,000 pesos? What about over there? The cheapest I could find is $350 (11,550 pesos). It's not just the price you should look for. What about warranty? Sony has an International Warranty which can be used anywhere in the world. NOTE: This warranty is an option given to you by Sony whenver you buy their products. I believe there are other warranties they offer.
If the N80 is cheaper there & has an international warranty, then by all means buy it in Singapore. After all, my Samsung camcorder's parts came from there. I bought a battery for $50. I was told later at the Samsung Service Center that their price didn't differ that much from the store in Singapore. I still believe that it's not the price you should look at but the warranty. You never know when it's going to break down. Better safe than sorry, as the saying goes.

Look for a good used 20mm or 24mm Nikkor lens.
Look on craigslist or your local camera store. The Nikon 24mm AutoFocus F/2.8 for about $200 +/-, the NIKON 20MM AutoFocus f/2.8D about $350 +/-
